snapshots from love month, 2025…
gabriel and i had some awesome ski mornings together while moses was at ski team:

i worked on marketing my class, took the neighbourhood girls to the neighbourhood grocery store to play with toys, helped gabe teach the twins how to play uno, and melted one day when i found august snoozing in his bed mid-day with his glasses on.

gabriel had a fun time teaching his cousin-twin etta how to play some of his favourite games one day after school:

and got to celebrate with me when the two of us made it to the very end of our family 30-day treat challenge!:

we did some valentines crafts, evie got a sweet note from her grandma in the mail, and the twins picked out some valentine flowers for me during a trader joe’s run.

i did a lot of hot yoga (and always left completely drenched!), the big boys got excited about huge pokemon stuffies at costco, i did some winter wonderland hikes in rock canyon and made some postpartum “padcicles” for my niece that was having a baby (the smell of the witch-hazel and lavender oil brought me right back to my own postpartum days!, and dress-ups were plentiful (including an elf-cap from preschool!).

the kids’ grandma dropped off the most epic valentine and the kids had a classroom valentine prepping party! the boys made excellent scrappy valentine mailboxes and the twins got some zany heart glasses from preschool. we had a little cookie decorating party with neighbours and august loved delivering the cookies to other neighbours:

moses and i went to sundance on a powder morning and it was crowded but a perfect bluebird day with fresh snow!

the kids and i got to go bowling with grammie and grandfather one evening – what a treat! after, we had a fire on our back porch and a couple of my older nieces joined and grandfather did some delightful juggling.

i love so so much gabriel’s heart for moses from our family “heart attack.” “just because” love is the best kind of love – not earned and freely given. also, the boys got super into a graphic novel series and spent hours and hours reading on the couch this month.

ian and i have been night skiing together for our valentines date the past couple years – it has become a fun tradition! this year we caught the sunset which was my dream come true!! it was such a beautiful night and we had a perfectly cozy and delicious dinner at the owl bar after a handful of runs.

we got to hang out with my nephew’s cutest toddler to give her mom a break in the final weeks of her second pregnancy. it was such a joy to have murphy around.

another gorgeous ski day with gabriel:

mo and games got really into marking off all the runs they’ve done at sundance. by the end of the season moses had been on every single run and gabriel had been on all but the double blacks! they also got into playing board games together without adult supervision, which was awesome. and they got to go to their cousin’s birthday party at this reptile place where they held snakes!! meanwhile, evie matched up her princess barbies + books, august fell asleep in the car and always watched for the garbage trucks on thursdays, and the twins had a blast on the swing in our backyard with friends when we hosted babysitting co-op.

gabriel finished his session of rock climbing club, and the twins had a “fairytale theater” performance at preschool!

lots of cuddling in february – the twins are such snuggle bugs that often ask me to cozy up with them in my bed and just cuddle. i love them soooo much!
