some “normal day” captures from april 2024…

our backyard burst with white blossoms, we spent lots of time outside on sunny warm days, we watched the provo temple get torn down (more and more gone every time we passed!), i took eve on a mommy date to the bean museum, we dropped off a birthday gift for cousin mila, moses climbed trees and gabriel wrote many generous notes…

august tried to facetime ian at work many times (that boy loves his daddy!), we went to a brand new playground with cousins and then had them over to play in our blooming backyard, we had happy joy school mornings and i worked on filling my childbirth class (which i was teaching in a “couples retreat” format at my parents’ house in park city)…

ian and the kids worked more on the treehouse (which was a wonderland with the tree blossoming like crazy), i took a few gorgeous hikes in rock canyon, ian won an award at byu and we got to go to a fancy banquet together to celebrate, and the boys’ school had their traditional “color run” which was a total blast, especially with cousins! moses (unexpectedly to us!) ran hard and got fourth place in the race, which he was so excited about.

the tulips in our front yard were stunning this year, gabriel had his first karate belt advancement (can you tell he was so, so excited??), the warm weather meant i was back at my favourite acai bowl place, and i had to snap a photo of our white-board calendar in the kitchen because man the second half of april and the month of may were wild – with ian traveling to chicago and new york for work / all the end of school stuff / a parents only trip to iceland and london / getting ready to spend five weeks in japan …

we went to the tulip festival at thanksgiving point, eve got some exciting new clothes as hand-me-downs from her cousin etta, and moses was the “student of the week” in his class and had so much fun filling out an “all about me” poster.

life is full and beautiful!
